VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL
1/9 vs. Kinkaid* • 42-34 W
1/12 vs St. Thomas High School • 65-57 W
Coach Matthew Wilson: This was a terrific week for the Dragons. We opened conference play with a home victory against Kinkaid. It marked the first time the Dragons have defeated Kinkaid in consecutive years since 2006. We closed the week with another home contest, facing perennial TAPPS powerhouse, St. Thomas High School. The boys fended off a late rally to complete a clinical defensive effort.

VARSITY GIRLS SOCCER
1/10 vs. Kinkaid* • 3-0 L
1/11 at Concordia Lutheran • 1-0 L
Coach Fri Engel: We started conference play on Wednesday with a 3-0 loss to Kinkaid. The girls played their best game of the season and kept the score close. We are very proud of the girls’ effort and attitude. Alexia Kuvshinikov had an outstanding performance in goal. We concluded our non-conference schedule with an unfortunate 1-0 loss against Concordia Lutheran on Thursday. We could not replicate the high energy of the previous game and had difficulties creating chances offensively. We look forward to the road trip to Austin next week and keep working hard to get our next win.
