Morehead-Cain Scholarship Recipient
Congrats to Senior Caroline Dylewski on receiving a fully funded four-year scholarship!
The Morehead-Cain Scholarship is a four-year, fully funded educational experience for exceptional student leaders at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The John Cooper School's very own Caroline Dylewski, Class of 2024, has won this amazing scholarship.
"Caroline’s impressive leadership and sophisticated problem-solving have been powerful additions to our community, and we’re delighted that she has earned the distinction of being a Morehead-Cain Scholar. This singular opportunity will provide Caroline access to new avenues to explore, and we know that as she does so, she’ll continue to model the tenets of a Cooper education: being a creative and critical thinker, an effective communicator, and a responsible citizen and leader," said Laura Schroeder, Director of College Counseling at The John Cooper School.
Although initially shocked with the news, Caroline felt surreal and thrilled to receive this distinguished scholarship. When asked about why she believed she was so deserving of this scholarship, Caroline said "the four pillars of the Morehead-Cain are leadership, scholarship, character, and physical vigor. My time at Cooper has fully helped me foster these qualities, from Varsity basketball to being yearbook editor. The other scholars are truly some of the most incredible people I’ve had the privilege of knowing. I’m so grateful and excited to join this community and can’t wait to learn from and grow with them over the next several years." Caroline plans to take a gap year with the support of this scholarship and eventually wants to study law after college or dive into similar disciplines such as corporate law and global policy.
Being named a Morehead-Cain Scholar is a testament to Caroline’s impressive commitment to her academic and personal endeavors. We at Cooper are grateful for her many contributions to our community, and we’re proud that she will bring the Cooper spirit to the Morehead-Cain community.
