Lower School Field Day 2024
A celebration of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and school spirit!
The annual Lower School field day took place on Friday, May 10th where students had the opportunity to participate in fun games and relays. At The John Cooper School, Field Day isn't just another event on the calendar - it's a celebration of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and school spirit!
Each student arrived prepared with a Field Day t-shirt and athletic attire, ready to compete against their peers! Students were split into three teams: green, white, and black to represent our Cooper colors. Examples of some activities our Lower School students participated in include a tug-of-war, dodgeball, and the all-time favorite all-school relay race. A slip-n-slide feature was also added to help cool down students in the heat. Parents, families, and the Cooper community cheered on Lower School students as they competed in friendly competition amongst each toher.
In essence, the Lower School Field Day exemplifies the core values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and pride in The John Cooper School. This day is not just a day filled with fun games but is a reflection of The School's commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who embody respect, resilience, and community spirit. Students, parents, and the Cooper community proudly wore their school colors and cheered along their classmates, instilling a sense of belonging and unity that defines The John Cooper School experience.
